What is a damage waiver?

Damage Waiver

A Damage Waiver is designed to relieve the renter from incurring the cost of maintenance and accidental damage to rental items while in their possession. It is NOT insurance and does not cover damage done to a rental item due to misuse, abuse or negligence. Damage Waivers are not refundable.

If you are renting from a vendor who offers a Damage Waiver (either optional or required) you must reference their specific Damage Waiver to understand what is and what is not covered.

Paisley & Jade's Damage Waiver

A required 10% Damage Waiver for rental items (excludes delivery & tax).

A mandatory ten percent (10%) damage waiver is applied to all rentals. Purchase of the damage waiver covers normal wear and tear of the inventory while in the possession of the Client. Upon the return of broken or damaged rentals, which is due to the gross negligence of the Client, or in the event rentals are not returned, Client will be billed for the replacement cost of such rental(s), as determined by an appraiser chosen by P&J. The damage waiver is unnecessary if the Client provides P&J with a certificate of insurance which would cover the loss of the goods rented by Client from P&J pursuant to this Agreement.
