Security Keys

Security Keys help GoodShuffle:

• Keep track of items
• Control the availability of items
• Manage and disburse security deposits

- The security deposit goes to the renter when an item is successfully returned
- The security deposit goes to the owner if the item is not returned

Transaction Approved: Once the Owner approves the rental request, GoodShuffle will issue each party a unique Security Key. Security Keys can be found on the transactions dashboard, transaction's page, or in a text message (click here to sync your cell phone).

Starting the Transaction: When the Renter comes to pick up the item, they must provide their Check Out Key to the Owner who submits it to GoodShuffle to start the transaction.

Owners: Submit the Check Out Key via text message, or via the "Submit Key" button at the top of this page (must be logged in).

Completing the Transaction: When the Renter returns the item, they request the Owner's Key In Key, which they submit to GoodShuffle to complete the transaction.

Renters: Submit the Check In Key via text message, or via the "Submit Key" button at the top of this page (must be logged in).
